Hi

I thought it was time to up-date a little.  If you are able to come into the shop you know our fabric collections have increased along with our needle felting supplies.  I just came back from Quilt Market in Portland and brought some things home with me.  Boy does the  airlines 50 lb weight limit get you when you want all the new stuff immediatley..  Anyway we have some new books for layer cakes and strips along with the new 10" square ruler for cutting your own layer cake.  I really like it.  One of the new gadgets we have in stock is the wooden holder for the Clover Needle Threader.  Some of our new buttons have arrived in the shop already with more coming.  Totes,  home decor and baby things seemed to be really hot at market.  Guess they figure with gas prices we are all going to spend more time home.

Sometime in early fall we will be starting Jo Morton's Little Women's Club.  I've ordered lots of her fabric which is wonderful.  As I receive more details I will pass this on to you.

We thought about not participating in Moda U for 2009 UNTIL I saw the finished quilt at market.  Does that tell you I fell in love with it and just had to have it.  Hints - it looks like it is all pieced and we're planning on doing it in Blue's, reds, and browns.

Backyard Quilt Show:

This will be our third annual Backyard Quilt Show and each year it gets bigger.  We are hoping to be in our new location in time for this years show  but if not it will be behind the shop. So  think about the quilts you want to enter; there is a $50.00 gift certificate to the owner of the quilt who wins viewer's choice (will be split if there is a tie).  Again we will have refreshments, trunk shows, and decorations for fall.

Butterfly Kisses:

A beautiful quilt featured in many magazines using Andover fabrics.  This is a Block of the Month and is $15.95 per month for 10 months.  We still have a few left if your interested.

Moda U (University):

If you've been in the shop you know we are filling in the Mystery of this quilt each month.  We are now working on the last 4 blocks of this quilt.  If you followed this quilt, 15 of Moda fabric designers designed a block for this quilt.  The cost of the Moda U program was $125.00 for the patterns and fabrics to complete all of the blocks and filler blocks for this quilt.  We also have a few more available if your interested since the mystery is being solved you actually know what most of it looks like.

American Hertiage:

This is a beautiful patriotic BOM quilt designed by Bits and Pieces.  The quilt is on display in shop and we only have a few more spaces available.

Strip Club:

We're almost half way though our strip club year and you are still welcome to join.  We've been picking some patterns that really go together fast and have had some great response to them.  We try to do more kits than our club members buy so if your not a member you can still have the opportunity to have fun making a strip club quilt.

New Location

We have our building permit and hopefully we will be starting the addion soon so we can be in in early fall.  Getting a permit and zoning has been very interesting.  When the completion of our new shop is near we will be shouting it out to everybody so you all will know.

Sale Items on Web Site:

From time to time I add some sale items to the web site.  They are not marked in shop but if you're in and tell us you saw them on the web on sale that price will be honored.  All of our quilters are important to us - web and in store and I want to treat you equally.
