BOM - Started in January 2012 is a fat quarter friendly quilt with 13 blocks, designed by Cabin in the Woods called Civil War Sampler. We have many block kits cut and ready to go. We do realize some of you don't like to take a whole year to make one quilt. If you choose to pick up one or more blocks per month we are okay with that. I think is going to be one beauty. Still a couple of openings if interested for our color choices, however plenty of books if you would like to do your own colors. Since this is fat quarter friendly the charge per month is based on number of fat quarters needed for block. Our fat quarters are $2.75 each so if it is a two color month it is $5.50 and the book cost is $16.95. The outside border is made from the scraps left from blocks so there is no finishing kit. One inexpensive BOM!!!

He is the designer of the patterns and fabrics (may substitue other fabrics from time to time) that we will be using at these parties. Each month he sends us a pattern and a couple of recipes. We make the sample, choose a night and host a party. Our Party will consist of a demo, refreshments, show and tell and whatelse we may have up our sleeves that night. The fee to join is $20.00 for the year and for this fee it entitles you to a free pattern, a new recipe or two and a good time. You do have to be a member in order to purchase a kit or receive a pattern. Our Party is on the 4th Thursday of the Month (except November) and will be hosted by Carolyn Bowman, Sherry Burbridge and guest host Ann Townsend.

Backyard Quilt Show Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This will be our 7th year for sponsoring this quilt show and we now have a building so all of your quilts will be under cover - no worries ab out weather. We usually have well over 50 quilts which range in size of wall hanging to King Size. I started doing this show as a way of giving something back to our customers. The only stipulation is a quilt can only be in show once. We don't charge to enter, don't care where you purchased your fabric or took the class, we have you drop off week before show and can be picked up after show is over of the following week. This means you don't have to spend one dollar in our shop, doesn't cost anything to admire the quilts on display, get to vote on the quilt you like the best for whatever reason. Best of all we do light refreshments and somebody is going to win a $50.00 gift certificate to the shop. We've even added vendors to make it even more fun. Sign up to enter a quilt or vend.
Class Policies: Yes a must do. Class fees are payable by cash or check when you enroll. A supply list will be provided at enrollment. If a class is cancelled by us a full refund will be given. If you cancel you must give a two week notice to receive a refund. This allows us both to plan and prepare for class. You must be ready for class when you arrive for class - this is just a courtesy to your classmates and teacher. Hope to see all of you in a class or two.
Hope you all take advanages of our classes, the instructors love to teach.
